1. What Is the FASTag Annual Pass?
It is a prepaid pass benefit linked to the eligible vehicle’s existing FASTag. At covered plazas, eligible journeys are counted against the pass rather than charged as an ordinary per-trip user fee, subject to the official terms and plaza coverage.
2. Annual Pass Fee for 2026–27
NHAI announced that the Annual Pass is priced at ₹3,075 from 1 April 2026 for FY 2026–27. Fees may be revised by Government notification, so check the official portal before payment.
3. Eligibility Requirements
- The vehicle must be an eligible non-commercial car, jeep or van.
- The vehicle must have a valid Registration Certificate (RC).
- A functional FASTag must be affixed to the windscreen and mapped to the same vehicle registration number.
- The FASTag must meet the current official status and issuer requirements; blacklisted or otherwise ineligible tags cannot be used.
- The pass is linked to the vehicle and is not transferable.
4. How to Apply for the Annual Pass
- Open the official Rajmargyatra Annual Pass page.
- Enter the vehicle registration details and complete the eligibility checks.
- Review the displayed vehicle and FASTag information.
- Pay the fee shown on the official portal.
- Check the pass status and activation against the registered vehicle.
5. Validity and 200-Crossing Rule
The pass expires when either 12 months have elapsed from activation or 200 crossings have been used, whichever happens first. A one-way passage generally counts as one crossing; a return journey through the same plaza can count as a second crossing. Closed toll systems may apply an entry-exit pair rule under the official terms.
6. Which Toll Plazas Are Covered?
The Annual Pass is valid only at designated National Highway and National Expressway fee plazas included in the official eligible-plaza list. It should not be assumed to cover every state highway, state expressway, local road, or privately operated toll facility.
Check the official list of eligible toll plazas.
7. Annual Pass vs Regular FASTag
Regular FASTag supports electronic payment of applicable toll charges. The Annual Pass is an optional prepaid benefit for eligible vehicles at covered plazas. Where the pass does not apply, ordinary toll payment rules continue to apply.
8. Annual Pass vs Local Pass and Monthly Pass
- Local Pass is intended for eligible residents living within the specified distance of a selected toll plaza.
- Monthly Pass schemes are determined by individual toll plaza rules and may have different vehicle categories and charges.
